Privacy Policy
Last updated 25 August 2026
This policy explains what personal information REI Homes collects through reihomes.com.au, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it. It covers our enquiry forms and the advertising and analytics technology on this website.
In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean REI HOMES PTY. LTD. (ABN 52 687 468 551), trading as REI Homes, carrying out building and renovation work in Queensland under QBCC licence 15571231.
1. Information you give us
When you complete an enquiry form on this website, we ask for and store:
- your first and last name;
- your email address and phone number;
- the suburb or location of your project;
- details about the work you are considering — project type, scope, your main goal, your timeframe and your estimated budget range;
- anything you choose to write in the free-text description field; and
- any files you attach, such as plans, drawings or photographs.
Every answer is saved as you enter it, rather than only when you press submit. This is deliberate — it means a dropped connection or a closed tab does not lose the information you have already typed. A consequence worth being clear about: if you begin a form and do not finish it, the answers you did enter are still stored by us.
2. Information collected automatically
When you visit this website we also collect:
- your IP address, browser type and device information;
- pages viewed, time on page and how you interact with the page;
- the web address that referred you, including advertising campaign
tags (for example
utm_source) and advertising click identifiers such as Facebook'sfbclidand Google'sgclid; and - identifiers stored in cookies set by us and by Meta (see section 4).
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, discuss your project and prepare a quote.
- To contact you by phone, SMS or email about the enquiry you submitted.
- To keep records of quotes, projects and communications.
- To measure which advertising and marketing brings genuine enquiries, and to improve this website.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information to send unrelated marketing to you unless you have asked us to.
4. Advertising technology and Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
This website uses the Meta Pixel and Meta's Conversions API. These tools tell Meta when someone views this page and when someone submits an enquiry, so that we can measure whether our advertising is working and show relevant ads to people likely to be interested in renovation work.
What is actually sent to Meta
When you submit an enquiry, we send Meta a record that an enquiry occurred. To help Meta match that enquiry to an advertising account without exposing your details, contact information — your email address, phone number, name and suburb — is converted into an irreversible cryptographic hash before it is transmitted. Meta receives the hashed values, not readable copies of your email address or phone number.
We send this information in two ways: from your browser (the Meta Pixel) and from our own server (the Conversions API). Both carry the same event identifier so a single enquiry is not counted twice.
Meta processes this information as an independent controller under its own terms. You can review and adjust how Meta uses your data for advertising in the ad preferences section of your Facebook or Instagram account, and you can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking these cookies does not stop you from submitting an enquiry or affect the service we provide you.
5. Who else we share information with
- Meta Platforms — as described in section 4.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers — the form data submitted through this website is stored on Amazon Web Services infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia.
- Our marketing agency, Brother Media, which builds and maintains this website on our behalf and is bound to use the information only for that purpose.
- Trades, suppliers or consultants where this is necessary to quote or carry out your project.
- Anyone we are required to disclose to by law, including under the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991.
6. Storage, security and retention
Enquiry data is stored in Australia on Amazon Web Services infrastructure and is protected by access controls and encryption in transit. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold.
We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to respond to you and to meet our legal and business record-keeping obligations. If you ask us to delete your information and we are not required to keep it, we will do so.
7. Accessing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct anything that is wrong or out of date; or
- delete your information, where we are not required to keep it.
Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we may need to verify your identity first.
8. Complaints
If you believe your privacy has been mishandled, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published at this address, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
